Join us in supporting the the Oregon Food Bank Network during September’s Hunger Action month. We’ll be collecting donations at the registers in our stores in Oregon and Washington (Vancouver and Battle Ground) all month.
Here are some facts about hunger in our area and what your donation can do:
- Oregon has a 27% child food insecurity rate, one of the worst in the country
- Nearly 1 in 5 households in Oregon are dealing with hunger
- Each month in Oregon 270,000 people eat meals from emergency food boxes
- 1/3 of those served by the Oregon Food Bank Network are children
- A $5 donation provides 15 meals
